G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê (/ˈseni/ /ˈdɘcë/ [vicious; wild] [fiction]) is a temperate Town located in the Fîthdekî Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê was founded by Tim Zêbesm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Overview

G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê was founded durring the late 12th century in spring of the year 1084, by Tim Zêbesm. The establishment of G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê is is constructed arround a series of premissive flagstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

A look around G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the abundance of schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê long.

Cultural Notes

The locals have cut a deal with some unspeakable entity, trading some form of tribute (benign of horrific) in exchange for the being’s forbearance or assistance. Outsiders may be ignorant of the bargain, or they may know that the community is in thrall but be too fearful of its master to take action against them. The creature likely serves as a protector as well as a tyrant, so the locals may be content with the deal even if it doesn’t offer any further inducement or aid.

G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century a most peculiar disaster struck G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê, causing great chunks of ice to fall from the sky. G̈ngîn-dêcë Fêqê lost 246 people, 235 livestock, and 26 buildings in the disaster.. The ice rain is generally remembered as the Mourning Rain.
